::: simple box construction started a while back when i made some hand made books of images. it was an edition of 15 books. the images are of motel rooms throughout the u.s. that i stayed in on an extended road trip way back in 1999. these books were part of a larger installation that involved the original photos and hand made boxes which was never completed. hopefully one day. the title of the book and the piece is "nowhere, u.s.a." the books are hand bound with veneer covers and the images are hand printed xerox transfer. each book was numbered with an edition number from 1 to 15. images of the books can be viewed in the simple box construction album for this release.
::: so i'm bringing up simple box construction as an imprint because i want to do self releases of my music and other small edition hand bound books. the cdr demo has been unofficially released already (you can view an image of the cover under the same album in my pics.) the next full length cd will be an official simple box construction release and hopefully many more after that. if all goes well, simple box construction might join forces with other small diy labels on split releases.
